The department of Graduate Studies operates as the central body for managing and coordinating all graduate studies programs at the University of Basrah. The department aims to manage these programs within the following: obtaining fundamental approvals for the new graduate studies at the university, preparing annual graduate studies plans, admitting students to postgraduate studies, managing student affairs during the study period, and issuing graduation documents. In addition, the College of Graduate Studies supervises all graduate studies programs at the University of Basrah, which is the direct coordinator between the University of Basrah and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq.
