E-governance in the College of Graduate Studies

Since the beginning of last year, the College of Graduate Studies has sought to shift towards smart electronic management and during the Corona pandemic, an electronic platform has been established to issue university orders to form examination committees for postgraduate students, which saved time and effort and reduced the consumption of paper and inks. The platform succeeded thanks to the cooperation of the college’s staff with the graduate units of other colleges. This was followed by the issuance of another electronic platform for issuing university orders for graduation, which facilitated the procedures for issuing orders and reduced the time and at the same time obtaining an intelligently archived database. This was followed by the electronic form for the issuance of the university identity and the database of graduate students for students admitted for the 2020-2021 academic year, which is updated by the graduate studies units in the colleges to draw the student’s academic curriculum in an electronic, saved form.

Finally, a system for receiving urgent official documents from colleges was established, to be the seed for the system of official correspondence between the college and other colleges without using paper. These systems have made electronic administration up to more than 50% of the tasks that the college carries out, and the continuous pursuit of an advanced rate of smart electronic governance. Note that these systems made the process of following up all college procedures in an easy way and also speed in accessing information and monitoring the progress of completing tasks via a mobile phone or a calculator in a simple way. Also, two links were launched that allow anyone to follow the progress of the formation of the discussion committee and also to issue a university graduation order, as they were placed on the website of the College of Graduate Studies.
